Yokan

Sweet bean paste and agar.
It is said that yokan originally came from a Chinese dish. The earliest forms introduced to Japan were steamed sweets made by combining adzuki beans with wheat flour.Over time, agar was added to sweet bean paste and set into a firm, bar-shaped form known as neri-yokan. Through this evolution, yokan became a confection uniquely refined in Japan.
At our shop, we offer three varieties of yokan—matcha, ogura red bean, and chestnut—each prepared using carefully selected ingredients.
